The Ghouls are a trio of malignant creatures which appear in the 1977 mythological fantasy film Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. They were brought to life with the visual effects talents of Ray Harryhausen.
Description[]
The Ghouls were withered, nearly skeletal humanoid creatures shorter in stature and body mass than a man. They possessed strange, almost insectile faces with oversized eyes and small horns.
History[]
After Sinbad and his crew bested the would-be caliph Rafi, his mother, the malevolent sorceress Zenobia, summoned the Ghouls from the flames of Sinbad's campfire in an effort to thwart him in his quest. Fortunately for all, Sinbad and his men proved more than capable of defeating the sinister creatures, and were free to proceed on their way.
