Styracosaurus was a large ceratopsian dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous. In the 1969 fantasy western film The Valley of Gwangi, several previously-believed extinct dinosaurs, including Styracosaurus, were shown to have survived in a remote valley in Mexico.
